We moved to Istanbul a couple of months ago and including two classes a week I have tried four different apps and a ton of books to speed my learning. This is definitely one of the best. The idea of reminding you to learn a certain number of words every day and the different ways to help you learn them is amazingly effective. Çok teşekkürler!
The app lets you be in control of learning -
- the # of words per day,
- the speed and volume,
- a non-intrusive reminder set at the best time for you receive,
- the spelling of the words, and
- the use of the microphone to compare your pronunciation to the teachers.

Ive been struggling with Turkish language for the past four months since we moved to Istanbul. Between classes, books, softwares and apps, I practically tried most of the available tools. This app is one of the most simple and straightforward tools around. The daily words with the reminder and progress tracking are very efficient.
Very interesting and helpful application only one week user and i started to communicate with people in turkey
This isnt a dictionary or reference tool; what it is is simply the best leg-up self-paced rote intro to basic Turkish words and phrases. The app is customizable to your learning preferences and - best of all, it offers reminders and the daily challenge and practice that are crucial to any language study.
Some bad moments
Awesome app! I go straight to the phrase book, though, because I wasnt sure how to go about the rest of the options
A very fair value, I downloaded and started using this application the day before my flight, and in two weeks I was able complete simple transactions, be polite. People in Turkey are genuinely moved at the effort and often provide advanced pointers on usage and pronunciation.
There are a few phrases that arent accurate. One example is "banyo nerede" for "where is the bathroom". Turks laughed and told me I dont want a bath I want the "tuvalet", or better yet, "toilet nerede".
In a way, this is actually helpful as it creates person connection.
Id like to see the (very) few mistakes corrected, an expanded word list, the bare basics of Turkish grammar, and a brief section on the alphabet.
Two out of three and i give it five stars!
This app I have found to be the perfect starter to learn a new language or touch up on an already learned one. Very easy to follow with accurate and clear pronunciations. Many choices and variations for the free words and phrases and a great price for those package area of more words/phrases for purchase.
Dont think I could have gotten a better Turkish learning tool. If only for the hello thanks good morning and taxi perfect!
This app is so helpful to me as I am a beginner in Turkis in Istanbul. So many options for learning, lots of words and word list choices as well. My favorite feature is hearing a word 8 times to really get it in my head! Now if I could only make personal choice word list!!!
This app is cool, but I wish it didnt cost that much to learn more. Oh, well I guess.
